Lightword Publishing, founded 1991, publishes The Mindquest Review of Books- reviews of noteworthy works selected from submissions of recent books sent in by self-published authors and small press. The submitter incurred no charge or obligation for a recommendation and review.

SELF-PUBLISHED AUTHORS

Many talented folks are generally ignored by the mainstream media. Some major publications blatantly discriminate against self-published authors and small press by refusing to print reviews of their books. An example: Publishers Weekly's 2006 submission requirements states in part they will not consider publishing a book review unless 2,000 or more are printed and the author already has an approved book distributor. This rule leaves out many self-published authors on a budget. Our quest is to support the noteworthy works of these talented people, and we trust you will be motivated to do the same.

Lightword Publishing provides full, highly targeted and creative promotion and publicity fee-based services for Mindquest recommended works only. There is no charge or obligation for any review published in The Mindquest Review Of Books. Please do not E-mail works.

THE MINDQUEST REVIEW OF BOOKS

The purpose of Mindquest, published six to eight times a year, is to alert selected reviewers, review publications, newspaper editors and television & radio show hosts about recent recommended and reviewed books. Mindquest is mailed primarily to publications, with major circulations, that review books with a positive message. Mindquest is published,with incoming links from our other web pages and other book review websites, on-line for the public and our review sources.

Senior Editor, Bernie P. Nelson, stays in close touch by telephone and mail with the contact persons of our select media list. Bernie has a thirty year plus background in publishing, writing, and sales promotions. Since 1994, he has launched effective book services for Lightword Publishing. He is a published author, and is actively recommending, reviewing, and promoting exceptional manuscripts and books. He was commissioned, by Governor Martha Layne Collins, a Kentucky Colonel for assisting students with journalism and helping them to publish The Eagle Bone Whistle newspaper in the seventies.
