THE LIGHTWORD PUBLISHSING MISSION: Lightword Publishing supports small businees, including self-published authors, small press, and organizations making a difference. We provide free and low cost promotions for noteworthy books, book manuscripts, exceptional products, and organizations making a difference.

Lightword Publishing, founded 1991, publishes The Mindquest Review of Books- reviews of noteworthy works selected from submissions of recent books sent in by self-published authors and small press. The submitter incurred no charge or obligation for a recommendation, writing, and publishing their book review.

SMALL PRESS,
SELF-PUBLISHED AUTHORS

Many talented authors are generally ignored by the mainstream media. Some major publications blatantly discriminate against self-published authors and small press by refusing to print reviews of their books. An example: Publishers Weekly's 2006 submission requirements states in part they will not consider publishing a book review unless 2,000 or more are printed and the author already has an approved book distributor. This rule leaves out many self-published authors on a budget. Our mission is to support the noteworthy works of these talented people, by providing free and low cost book promotional services.

Lightword Publishing provides low cost highly targeted and creative promotions and publicity services. We do not charge for recommending a noteworthy book, writing a review, and publishing the review in The Mindquest Review of Books. Please do not E-mail book promotional material.

THE MINDQUEST REVIEW OF BOOKS

The purpose of Mindquest, published six to eight times a year, is to alert selected reviewers, review publications, newspaper and newspaper supplement editors about recently recommended and reviewed new books.

Mindquest is also published on-line,with incoming links from our other web pages, other book review websites, facebook, and Twitter.

The Senior Editor and owner of Lightword Publishing is Bernie P. Nelson. He stays in close touch by telephone and mail with the contact persons on the selected review media list. He stays in touch with certain publishers in order to understand the reasons publishers select a book manuscript for publication, and also the reasons they reject a book manuscript submission.

Bernie has a thirty year plus background in publishing, writing, and sales promotions. Since 1994, he has launched effective book services for Lightword Publishing. He is a published author (Mind Control Wars) and is actively recommending, reviewing, and promoting exceptional manuscripts and books. He was commissioned, by Governor Martha Layne Collins, a Kentucky Colonel for assisting students with journalism and helping them to publish The Eagle Bone Whistle newspaper in the seventies.

Lightword Publishing's overhead is low. We have no full time employees. The owner, Bernie P Nelson, offers the following promotional services for books less than two years old, new products from small business, and organizations making a difference.
